I was born and raised in Nottingham, UK and have been working in the illustration industry since 1997. I am Largely self taught, using both traditional and digital media I have worked with a large variety of clients including Peter Jackson, Sir Paul Smith, Hasbro, Ubisoft, Aboud Creative, Sixmorevodka, Wizards of the coast and Games Workshop to name but a few.

I am also a keen portraitist and have undertaken commissions for numerous clients including a portrait of Sir Paul Smith which was featured in his recent book “Hello my name is Paul Smith”.

In collaboration with Sir Paul Smith I had my first solo show in London last year featuring cyclist portraits from an ongoing project.

I still reside in Nottingham with my wife, two children and dog, I am available for commissions. Karl

Classe 79, Visual Artist formatosi in pittura, sperimenta il fumetto (Bonelli, Kodansha), la previsualizzazione cinematografica (Warner Bros), il concept design per videogame (Gameloft, Fantasy Flight, Hit Point ), l’illustrazione per boardgame ed editoria (Mondadori) con svariate produzioni ed edizioni internazionali.

Insegna nella capitale (Genius Academy, Idea Academy) e in giro per l’Italia regge vari workshop. Nel suo linguaggio, tradizione ed innovazione tecnologica trovano soluzione nella pittura digitale.

Angelo Montanini

Il nome di Angelo Montanini è legato a quello di Tolkien a partire dal 1995, con la realizzazione di quasi 100 illustrazioni per il “Gioco di carte del Signore degli Anelli”pubblicato in tutto il mondo dalla Iron Crown Enterprise. Tra il 1996 ed il 1999, copre sia il ruolo di direttore editoriale presso Stratelibri, coordinando la scelta degli illustratori, che quello di direttore artistico per quanto riguarda immagini e copertine.

Oltre che con la Società Tolkieniana, Montanini ha sviluppato numerose collaborazioni con case editrici del calibro di Mondadori, Editrice Nord, Rusconi e Longanesi. Attualmente è docente di Anatomia dell’immagine Fashion Design presso l’Istituto Europeo di Design IED Moda Lab di Milano e di Illustrazione all’Accademia di Belle Arti Aldo Galli IED di Como.

Nel 2017 ha lavorato alla seconda edizione del calendario “Lords for the Ring” insieme a Alberto Dal Lago, Paolo Barbieri, Edvige Faini, Ivan Cavini, Dany Orizio e Lucio Parrillo.

Martina Fačková

Slovakian illustrator Martina Fačková finished her masters degree in Psychology and immediately turned her sights on the world of art. Bringing to bear her keen interest in the human experience and a hunger to constantly improve, she’s been working towards sharing a point of view based in striking, dramatic darkness, and in the absolute visual reality of the world around us. Two years later, her work has been awarded and featured in Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, ImagineFX, Forbes Slovakia, and in Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art. Selected clients include Wizards of The Coast, Tor Books, Orbit Books, HarperCollins Publishers, CD Project Red.

Florinda Zanetti

A professional figure with multiple traditional artistic skills such as painting, sculpture and conservation of cultural heritage and digital arts. Gifted with marked creativity and versatility in both practice and theory.
Willing to study and constantly evolve their knowledge. Able to organise work according to clients’ needs and timescales. Pioneer of the new profession of Artworker, restorer and alterer of vintage Magic: the Gathering collectible cards, thanks to which numerous collaborations on a national and international artistic basis with associations and companies in the field such as Complexity Card Gaming, TCG Vault and Cardmarket have been established. Guest artist at major events and festivals such as: GP Wizards of the Coast, Lucca Comics & Games, Romics (RM), Etna Comics (CT), Cartoomics (MI), Cardmarket Series (Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Bologna).

She currently holds the position of Social Media Manager and continues her collaborations with some companies in the gaming sector as an artworker and fantasy illustrator.

Svetlin Velinov

Svetlin Velinov is a globally recognized Bulgarian artist who works in the entertainment and game industry.

He works in the field of illustration, concept art and comics. A native of Varna, he showed an interest in art in his early years. He is a graduate of the “Dobri Hristov”; National School of Arts – Varna, and then studied animation direction in the class of Prof. Henri Kulev at the New Bulgarian University – Sofia. Since 2002, he began his professional journey as a graphic designer and freelance artist, and for 14 years now he has been part of the main team of illustrators of Wizards of the Coast contributing his work to the success of one of the most famous board games, Magic the Gathering.

With more than 300 illustrations for Magic, he ranks second among the most prolific artists ever to work on the game created in 1993…

Shivan Art

Annalisa Forghieri, also known as “Shivan”, is a professional artist and restorer who graduated with honours from the Faculty of Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, specialising in paper, parchment and photographic museum material.
Over the years she has collaborated with numerous high-level personalities from the Wizard universe including fellow artists, pro players and national and international content creators.
Today she lectures on art and restoration throughout Italy and does research in the field of Artificial Intelligence applied to Cultural Heritage.

He has also worked for City, Color, and Launchstory magazines. He has also illustrated some video games,[3] movie posters and character designs for major film productions.

Lucio Parrillo’s beginnings were held in the pages of the parody fanzine Big Comics (later, renamed as Zero Press).

Parrillo has illustrated covers for international publishing houses including: Marvel comics, DC Comics, Dynamite, comics such as: The Hulk, Thor, Spiderman, X-Men, Batman, Cat Woman, Wolverine, Vampirella, Red Sonja, Coven 2 and Eternal Temptation, and has also done artwork for the Empire Eternel series.

He has done covers for Skorpio, Lennox, and Lord of the Jungle.

His work for Dungeons & Dragons includes covers for Champions of Ruin (2005), interior art for Sharn: City of Towers (2004), Monster Manual III (2004), Eberron Campaign Setting (2004), Champions of Valor (2005), Spell Compendium (2005), Red Hand of Doom (2006), Tome of Magic (2006), Player’s Handbook II (2006), Dragon Magic (2006), Expedition to Castle Ravenloft (2006), Rules Compendium (2007), the fourth edition of Handbook of Plans (2008), Thunderspire Labyrinth (2008), Pyramid of Shadows (2008) and Martial Power (2008).

RK Post

A farmboy from Illinois with a gift for sketching, rk post was planning on a career as a veterinarian until illustration finally took over in his extensive college experience. By his graduation from Northern Illinois University in 1994, rk post was freelancing for the fantasy gaming industry doing interior illustration for several major game companies, gradually teaching himself how to paint with acrylics and eventually oils. rk garnered a staff illustration position at TSR and after its acquisition, continued in this capacity with new parent company Wizards of the Coast painting cover illustrations for games and novels. Passionate about expanding his skill set, rk moved into 2D and 3D art for videogames in addition to his freelance illustrations for Magic the Gathering and other franchises. He currently works as a self publishing entity, so please follow him on your preference of his social media platforms to see what’s up and coming!
